Alex is a private, confidential and trustworthy chatbot, who makes learning about sexual and reproductive health as easy as chatting with a friend.

We are revolutionising Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) education for youth.
Our goal is to provide accurate, diverse, and relevant SRH information through an innovative chatbot while empowering youth workers with essential skills.
Resources developed in the project include a knowledgeable chatbot capable of addressing gen-Z youth’s sex and reproductive health related queries and equipping youth workers with essential and credible resources, available in 5 different languages.
The main project results
The project content consists of three main elements:
A holistic SRH programme delivered by a chatbot
AlexBot is a digital tool, which provides written and multimedia content for youth to supplement their interactions with the chatbot. With AlexBot they can access SRH-related quality information confidentially, at no cost and according to their own desired learning pace. The chatbot will, therefore, consist of the following materials:
- Written content consisting of lessons on SRH that are meant to abide by international standards for holistic SRH
- Multimedia content which enrich the written content with infographics and videos
- The Alex chatbot which responds and recognises user SRH queries and engages them with short-form educational interaction based on the information found in the lessons
